Quick recap of events.

Texas was awesome. I went to tons of malls, and spent lots of fun time visiting with my family.
Ate at the Cheesecake Factory, a personal fav of mine :)
Got fruit slushes from Sonic.
Went to a Sephora store. It was basically heaven.
Showed my lil cousin the dramatic chipmunk video on youtube. Laughter insued.
Good times, good times.

I got another cute vintage dress in the mail the other day. So I had an impromptu photoshoot with myself today.

Come on, you all know I have nothing better to do.

Yeah, It’s cute. What you can’t tell from the pictures is that I couldn’t get it zipped past my..um…how do you say it delicately? Cha-chas.
anyway, you win some you lose some. I’ll use it for a photoshoot.

Needless to say, I’m still tired. And sadly, lacking in anything intelligent to say. My teeth hurt, and I’m going to watch a movie tonight I think.

Holiday Cheer

Christmas Eve is tomorrow and I must say I’m feeling the holiday spirit. I have to confess, holidays are an interesting time for me, to say the least. There are the ups. Spending time with the family, a month off from school, and we get tons of cheese from Wisconsin in the mail. And the downs. Spending time with family, more desserts than you can shake a stick at (see my first blog), and well…nuts. But anyways, That’s a long and depressing story.

For those of you who don’t know my sense of humor, take every thing I say with a grain of salt. For those who do, enjoy this (slightly twisted) little look at my Christmas’ past.

Also, many great memories from my childhood. For instance a year that will forever live in infamy in my house. The Christmas of 93’, when Dad forgot to turn off our video camera after my brother and I had finished unwrapping our gifts. He had conveniently left it facing our tree, and Mom came along to pick up all the discarded wrapping paper and blocked out all the Christmas cheer with her butt. Forty-five minutes of it on VHS.

Or what about the year my Grandma spent the days before Christmas baking us untold amounts of chocolate candies and various kinds of sugared nuts. She put them all in labeled containers, so it would be convenient for us, and my cousin stumbled upon one that had the word “P e c a s s e s” scrawled across it. Trust me guys, your guess is as good as mine.

My all time favorite might just be the year my mom was sick and heavily medicated. I mean wow, really medicated. She passed out in one of the chairs in the family room, and another one of my cousins found a bottle of rum (for baking people) and tucked it underneath Mom’s arm. I then attempted to take a series of incriminating pictures, before she regained consciousness. Later that evening, mom tried to convince me that she was not too doped up on cold medicine to drive us home. She then attempted to put her coat on, proceeded to get tangled in it, and I took the keys.

I just wanted to share a little of my cheer with anyone who happens across this blog. This will probably be that last time I post anything until after Christmas. Since all of our festivities will be held tomorrow. So, Happy Holidays to you, my friends :)

I was just looking at all my old pictures and thought I’d share.

Yesterday, I introduced my Grandma to half.com.
Books for 75 cents? no way.
She loved it, and ordered 15 books. Come on, who dosen’t love internet shopping?

today was great. Christina and I saw Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story. It was hilarious. I highly recommend it, I love Cox.

The upcoming days are going to be pretty awesome too.
Family coming in tomorrow :)
Christmas Monday. (My family celebrates Christmas Eve, not day)
Then my Texas trip after the new year.

Okay, I’ve shared enough boring information for one night.

So, the power went out, and this was me a few minutes ago….

that nifty head light is courtesy of my dad. Who likes to keep me prepared for every possible scenario. hence the hiking boots, firstaid kit,and jumpercables in my jeep.

I’m not really sure how many people have been reading these entries. I’m guessing about 2.

But I just wanted to stress that if you are expecting profound groundbreaking insights into the world, you are looking in the wrong place.

That’s not me, I’m not insightful.

I don’t say deep or moving things, and I’m not going to pretend like I can.

Obviously, I wouldn’t be fooling anyone.

I don’t like to analyze things too much.

I don’t like to delve into the mysteries of the universe.

I like to have a good time, I’m trying to enjoy life.

What could possible be wrong with that.

School stresses me out.

I love working, I love money.

I love family.

My dog makes me laugh like crazy.

Computers are the shit.

I like taking people by surprise, making them laugh.

I make up harmony parts to every song I listen to. (Thanks, Silber)

I eat an entire box of Gushers in one day. And I’m not ashamed, they are delicious.

I can’t go into Target without buying at least $100 worth of merchandise…unless I leave my debit at home.

The sound of a vacuum makes me cringe. So does the word chunky.

I love Northern accents. And British accents. And the way Paula Dean talks.

Those grates a the bottom of swimming pools. What’s up with those anyway. Can you say creepy?

There is something about miniature toiletries. They are adorable, I want them all.

The local news is the worst. But I watch it almost everyday to make fun if it.

I love to sprinkle big, preposterous words in conversations, instant messages, and homework assignments. You could say I like to spice it up a bit.

So just let me apologize in advance to anyone who reads this blog. Don’t expect anything drastically different from the above entry.

Like I always say, “Aim high and you can never be disappointed.” Wait, that’s not right….

Wow, Fridays are the worst… it’s grocery day.

Which means we are out of everything edible.

I miss my fruit roll ups and mini miffins.

No, I’m not 10. Promise.

I still have diet coke. Thats all anyone ever needs.

Also, no one was murdered at Thanksgiving.

and that’s something I’m always thankful for.

Thanksgiving is only a few days away now, and while most people are gearing up with smiles on their faces, I am once again confronted with a grim reality. A dessert to family member ratio of 2:1. My family is outnumbered by deserts on any given holiday, much less the grandiosity that is thanksgiving. I’ve once said that my pet peeve is the bank’s ridiculous hours, which no normal human would find convenient. Scratch that. The thing I can’t stand more than anything else in the entire world, the thing that enrages me beyond all hell. Yep, you guessed it. Desserts. And I’m not talking just your normal pumpkin pie and cheesecake. There must be at least two cherry pies, no matter that they are never eaten. I can guarantee that there will be six, possibly more, store bought monstrosities that no one will even think about laying a finger on. All that, not to mention a countless number of other random cakes and pies. To the unseasoned outsider it is a sight that is menacing. To a Rayhill it is simply a way of life.

…Lord beer me strength.
